Single Jointed - Shop

A lot of horses go well in a single jointed bit. Out of all the dressage legal mouthpieces this is the strongest as it acts as a nutcracker on the tongue. As the rider takes the contact, the joint raises up towards the roof of the mouth, creating a triangle, acting on the tongue and the bars.

 

The Eggbutt style has a quicker and more defined action and there is no pinching on the corners of the mouth.

 

The Loose ring allows more play.
